Whitestone’s goal is to have each tenant open for business for the 2014-2015 season.
In addition, Market Street’s anchor tenant, Safeway, has agreed to invest $500,000 to update and improve its store.
Market Street residents are very excited about these changes. Whitestone’s Chairman and CEO, James C. Mastandrea, is especially excited about Jalepeno’s introduction to the area, and mentioned that “The second location of Scottsdale’s renowned Jalapeno Inferno Restaurant in a Whitestone Community Center demonstrates a key aspect of [the Whitestone] business model — expanding [Whitestone’s] tenants to profitably build their businesses by meeting the needs of residents in the surrounding communities.” He added, “Their success is our success.”
In the future, Whitestone will continue to attract small businesses and franchises to the Market Street area. Small centers better cater to community interests, so look forward to an increase in service, convenience in DC Ranch.
