Don Matheson, CRS, GRI, ABR, CLHMS, CDPE, is the founder of The Matheson Team of RE/MAX Fine Properties. Canadian by birth, American by choice; Don emigrated to the US in 1995 and became a US Citizen on August 24, 2001. A licensed REALTOR® since 1976, both in Canada and Scottsdale, AZ, Don’s top priority is to build trusting relationships with his clients.
Since 2010, The Matheson Team has been consistently ranked in the top 1, 2, or 3 RE/MAX teams in Arizona, and in the top 100 RE/MAX teams in the United States. In 2015, Don was awarded the RE/MAX Luminary of Distinction award, joining the ranks of only 37 RE/MAX agents out of over 100,000 in the United States. To date, Don is still the only Arizona winner of this coveted award.
Don attributes much of the team’s success to their pioneering efforts on the Internet and looks for it to drive future growth. A true entrepreneur, Don isn’t just in the real estate business; he is reinventing the business of real estate by maximizing the Internet’s potential through his proactive and systematic approach to listings and buyers online. Don and his team generate over 33% of their sales volume from the Internet, second only to the team’s referrals.
Don has earned many real estate credentials over the years including Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate REALTOR Institute, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Investor Agent Specialists and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist.
Don is a longtime Board Member of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, and a Board Member of his local community Homeowners Association. Don is also very involved in the Scottsdale community, supporting organizations such as Susan G Komen, Boys and Girls Club and Family Promise. In addition, he is proud to be a major donor at Scottsdale’s Honor Health.

Jenny Matheson, MBA, MS
REALTOR®
Born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, Jenny completed her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
After assisting her husband, Don, in establishing his real estate business when they moved to Arizona in 1995, Jenny began graduate studies at Arizona State University. She graduated in 1998 with both an MBA and a Master of Science in Economics. In addition to earning a 4.0 GPA, Jenny was awarded the Barchilon Award for outstanding graduate student of the year in 1997 by the ASU Economics Faculty.
Jenny spent a year at PriceWaterhouseCoopers PLLC, where she primarily assisted with litigation support engagements involving property value diminution studies, leveraging her background in residential real estate and her academic training in economic and statistical modeling. In 1999, she rejoined her husband’s expanding real estate practice, which they have built into the #5 RE/MAX Team in the United States.
In addition to managing The Matheson Team with her husband, Jenny represents both Buyers and Sellers in the purchase and sale of homes, primarily in the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley markets. Experience, education and exceptional attention to detail are the key ingredients to serving her clients with a very high level of service, which is evident in the fact that she works entirely by referral.
Jen Pedersen, CDPE

Jen is a sales agent on the team who works with buyers and sellers. Jen moved to Arizona from Colorado to join The Matheson Team in 2005. During her time on the team Jen has helped The Matheson Team become the #1 RE/MAX Team in Arizona from 2010 – 2015 and one of the top 50 RE/MAX teams in the country. She has been a Funding Coordinator at Entrust Mortgage and also team manager of the Closing Department at Watermark Financial Partners. Jen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science at the University of Northern Colorado.

Tracy is a sales agent with The Matheson Team. Prior to joining The Matheson Team in 2005, Tracy spent 4 years at DC Ranch Realty in Scottsdale. She is an Arizona native and earned her Arizona Real Estate License in 2002. Prior to selling real estate, Tracy was an Event Coordinator at Barrett-Jackson Auction House. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Arizona State University.
Angela Ball

Angela moved back to Arizona in 2009 and has lived in seven different states. Prior to joining the team, Angela worked independently and with other teams, actively selling real estate since 2007. She was first licensed in Maryland. Angela’s prior experience includes sales support, marketing construction products and management in the restaurant industry. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Notre Dame.

Originally from San Diego, Jerry moved to Phoenix in 2017 to pursue a baseball scholarship at Arizona Christian University. While at ACU, Jerry has interned with the Matheson Team assisting with numerous administrative tasks, mainly focusing on the marketing and listing aspects within the company. Upon graduating from ACU with a B.A. in Business Administration, Jerry is now the Listing Coordinator for the Matheson Team. Jerry is a diligent team player whose focus is to ensure a smooth listing process for all agents and clients from beginning to end. Jerry has volunteered at non-profits, such as the Red Cross, and Feed Our Starving Children, as well as volunteers at his local church and participates in beach clean-ups in San Diego. He currently resides in the North Glendale area and enjoys an active lifestyle while spending time with family and friends.

An Arizona native with a decade of experience in the real estate industry, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as Sales Assistant for The Matheson Team. Sarah assists with the listing and selling of luxury homes, townhomes and vacant homesites in and around some of the most desirable communities in the Valley of the Sun. Sarah has an in-depth understanding of the local market, which she leverages to support her team in delivering exceptional service and results for their clients. Sarah credits her training in Psychology (she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University) for her skillfulness in connecting with clients on a personal level, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, embracing the vibrant Arizona lifestyle she loves to share with others.

Transitioning from corporate sales, she brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles in sales at the largest food and beverage manufacturer in the world, Nestle. Rachel’s experience in sales, negotiation, building relationships and leveraging analytics to make decisions has equipped her with a unique perspective on her client’s real estate journey. From her extensive experience in corporate negotiations, Rachel understands the nuances of the prices and market. Rachel has been buying and selling homes for many years and through corporate negotiations understands the nuances of the prices and market. She provides exceptional services tailored to each client’s needs. Rachel currently resides in North Scottsdale in the McDowell Mountain Ranch Community.
