We make it our business to know what is happening in and around the DC Ranch area. We hope to serve:
- those who already live here,
- those who are looking to move to the area
- and, if somebody is leaving, sad as we are to see them go, we want that to be as pleasant an experience as possible as well.
But for those who are here for the duration and are looking for a wholesome, family-friendly way to celebrate our nation’s birthday, we found 2 great options for DC Ranch residents to celebrate the good old-fashioned way. Can you say games, food, rides and, of course, the rumble and spectacle of fireworks? Just in case you’re wondering, The Matheson Team loves the good old USA, too!
Celebrate the 4th of July near DC RANCH
1. 4th of July Celebration–WestWorld 2:00 pm to 9:30 pm
This is a celebration with something for everyone, and less than a 4 mile drive for DC Ranch residents.
There will be interactive games, food and family entertainment – and a great fireworks show. Advance admission for residents is $5; non-residents $10; and $15 at the door; children six and under are FREE.
$25 VIP Tickets include unlimited Vienna Beef Hot Dogs (yum, taste of Chicago), burgers, soda, watermelon and reserved seats for fireworks ($30 at the door).
For an additional $20 for the first wristband, and $10 for every additional one, you’ll have unlimited access to the indoor air-conditioned “theme park”. It’s a mega-playland.
If you only want to view the fireworks, bring a carload over to the polo field lot at 7:00 pm or later and for $20 per car you’ll feel the rumble and hear the ooo’s and ahhh’s!
2. 4th of Zoo-Ly at The Phoenix Zoo, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Join the animals at Phoenix Zoo for a 4th of July celebration including a BBQ, games, carousel rides, bounce houses, face painting, music and special viewing of Tempe Town Lake Fireworks at a VIP seating area in the back of the Zoo.

Wine and beer available for purchase.
Please note this event takes place at the Zoo’s main lake area and not all Zoo trails will be accessible. Animal viewing will be limited.
