To enhance safety on the streets and in the neighborhoods across the DC Ranch community, the Community Council recently approved and adopted standard speed limits.
DC Ranch residents were recently surveyed by the Community Council and asked to share their top concerns. Residents asked the Council to make our streets safer, and to enhance the safety of children at play in our parks, as well as the many walkers and bikers on our trails and roads.
As a direct result of the feedback from DC Ranch residents, the Council has set standard speed limits for DC Ranch roads. On main roads in the community the speed limit will be 25 miles per hour. On feeder streets, the speed limit will be 15 miles per hour.
The speed limits exclude streets owned by the city, like the south loop of Desert Camp and roads owned by sub-associations.
More speed limit signs will be posted on DC Ranch streets and new relocatable electronic speed signs will be placed starting in the non-guard gated neighborhoods to monitor vehicle speed data.
We are DC Ranch real estate experts who make if our job to know our community inside and out, and we support DC Ranch’s continuous efforts to improve safety.
