The DC Ranch Community Council recently announced the start of its 2014 – 2015 “Passport to Art” series. The first event for this season is on Thursday, September 4th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. The featured artist is Fiona Purdy.

The event is being held at the Desert Camp Community Center. Complimentary wine, beer and light appetizers will be available.
About Fiona Purdy
Fiona was born in the U.S. but moved to New Zealand with her family at the age of 8. Animals were part of her childhood and she started painting them in her art as well as commissioned pieces of other people’s pets.
Today, she is a Scottsdale resident and local artist. Her style is realistic with a contemporary flair. At the DC Ranch event, Fiona is showing part of her collection and talking about her work.
The “Passport to Art” series takes place every other month with two sessions in the fall and two in the spring.
