The DC Ranch Community Council is starting a new Spotlight Speaker series beginning Wednesday, October 22 at The Homestead Community Center. The series is intended to engage residents in learning and discussion on several topics.
The speakers are chosen based on their subject matter expertise. Initial topics include a variety of contemporary and historical issues including medicine, journalism and history.
DC Ranch Spotlight Series starts October 22nd with Robin Sewell’s Arizona History
Each session is complimentary for DC Ranch residents and registration is required. The series takes place at The Homestead Community Center on the south side of Legacy Boulevard between 94th Street and Thompson Peak Parkway.
Former Arizona news anchor, host of Arizona Highways and native American Robin Sewell kicks-off the season with “Arizona History and Highlights”. Robin will talk about the history of Arizona as well as sharing hidden treasures she’s discovered along the way.
Join Robin on Wednesday, October 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
At the second Spotlight Series event on Wednesday, December 3rd, brings Dr. Michael Breus “The Dr. Oz Sleep Doctor.”
Then on Wednesday, February 18th Aaron Brown is scheduled to discuss “Turning Points in TV News History”.
Going forward, the Community Council expects to bring many more interesting topics and speakers to enrich resident knowledge.
