In a recent article in The Country Club at DC Ranch‘s monthly member newsletter, President Tim Pfeiffer asked members to consider how fortunate they are to be part of The Country Club at DC Ranch. Why? Because, compared with other private clubs, the Country Club at DC Ranch is financially healthy and enjoying high membership demand.

Citing an article about pre-recession and post-recession country club financial performance in Club Director magazine, Pfeiffer said that a survey by the National Golf Foundation found that only 29% of golf and country clubs today are reportedly financially ‘healthy’. This is a 7% improvement over 2008 when only 22% of clubs were reportedly financially healthy.
The Country Club at DC Ranch is financially in the top 29% of golf and country clubs across the nation.
While demand for golf memberships is down nationally (golf memberships nationally have fallen almost 10% since 2008) demand for membership at The Country Club at DC Ranch is extraordinarily strong. According to Melanie Halpert, the club’s membership director, the club has sold the following memberships so far this calendar year (as of August 7):
- 17 Full Golf memberships
- 3 Junior Golf memberships
- 8 Sports Social memberships, and
- 16 Clubhouse memberships.
