If you are a DC Ranch resident or are looking for a neighborhood that embraces an eco-friendly lifestyle, visit the DC Ranch Community Garden at Copper Ridge School. The project is in its early stages, but once the plot is completed, it will be available to residents and local students alike.
The DC Ranch Community Garden
Beds will be divided into 50 plots and a picnic table will be built. The garden will be a great way to meet your neighbors and get your hands dirty!
Educational workshops and discussions are also in the works, so planners hope the garden will be a learning space as well as a sustainable organic practice.
On Saturday Jan. 25, bring your completed lease agreement to the site between 9 a.m. and noon. After Jan. 25, drop off completed applications to the Desert Camp Community Center.

If you want to get involved sooner, be a part of the first community garden volunteer work day this Friday Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.
