It’s almost Halloween, and this year you can celebrate in various ways without even leaving DC Ranch. That’s because the last week of October is packed with Halloween-themed events for kids and adults alike in this neighborhood. Check out what’s planned for DC Ranch residents in the days leading up to Halloween.
Wednesday, October 26 – Ghosts in the Garden
If you’ve always loved spooky stories but don’t want to scare your kids, be sure to come to Ghosts in the Garden. This is an adults-only Halloween event in which actual ghost hunters Jay and Marie Yates discuss their experiences with the paranormal in Arizona. You can even get a glimpse of their ghost hunting equipment as you enjoy drinks and snacks with your DC Ranch neighbors.
This event will take place from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the DC Ranch Community Garden, which is located at Copper Ridge School. You must be 21 or older for this event, which costs $10 per person. You can register here.
Thursday, October 27 – Prickly Pumpkin Patch
Here’s an event that’s perfect for the youngest residents of DC Ranch. This Halloween-themed evening will also be hosted at the DC Ranch Community Garden at the Copper Ridge School, but it will look a bit less scary since it goes from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Children 5 and under can pick their own pumpkin to take home from the patch. They can also enjoy delicious apple cider and snacks, or pose for a photo in front of the garden since it will be all decked out in festive décor for fall. This event costs $5 per child, and you can register here.
Saturday, October 29 – Spooky Carnival
This Halloween event in DC Ranch is for the whole family to enjoy. The theme is Jurassic Ranch, so expect to see lots of different dinosaurs hanging around Desert Camp Community Center from 5:00 to 8:00 pm that evening.
You can earn tickets playing carnival games, complete a jungle maze and obstacle course, and eat tasty treats that perfectly fit the dinosaur theme. Bring a bag for trick or treating there will be plenty of candy at this event. Infants and toddlers 3 and under are free, while children ages 4 to 12 cost $5 each, and anyone 13 and over costs $10. You can buy up to six tickets for your DC Ranch household here.
Of course, this spooky week in DC Ranch should be topped off with a night of trick or treating around the neighborhood on Monday, October 31.
