If you’re like many people buying a home in DC Ranch this spring, you’ll be glad to know that the community’s convenient location makes it easy to get out and explore – and some of Arizona’s finest attractions are just a short drive away. That includes Bearizona, one of the most popular wildlife attractions in the state.
What is Bearizona?
Bearizona is a wildlife park spanning about 160 acres in Williams, which is about 180 miles from DC Ranch. Guests can drive through more than three miles of pine forest to view North American animals in their natural habitats. Many of the bears living in the park have been rescued from wildfires, which displaced them, as well as other unfortunate circumstances (such as orphaned cubs) brought there by Arizona Fish and Game, though some of the bears were born in the park.
Bearizona offers a “Wild Ride Bus Tour” (when COVID-19 makes it possible). Otherwise, guests can drive through the park in their own vehicles. Your vehicle must be completely enclosed and have operational windows for your own safety.
The park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is as follows:
- Adults: $25
- Children age 4 to 12: $15
- Seniors age 62 and up: $23
- Bearizona Park Members: Free
Memberships are as follows:
Platinum Annual Carload Pass, $300: This pass includes unlimited visits to the park for one full year, a 10 percent discount on gift shop purchases and Bearizona Grille or Canyonlands food purchases, and a newsletter
Bronze Annual Carload Pass, $200: Unlimited visits to the park for one full year except blackout dates, a 10 percent discount on gift shop purchases and Bearizona Grille or Canyonlands food purchases, and a newsletter
Annual Personal Pass, $100: Unlimited visits to the park for one person for one full year, a 10 percent discount on gift shop purchases and Bearizona Grille or Canyonlands food purchases, and a newsletter
Check out Bearizona’s Cub Cams to see what’s happening in the park right now.
