If you’re looking for a quick way to get a new look for your Scottsdale home, why not paint your walls a different color? Whether you decide to paint the whole house or just want an accent wall in your living room, it can be tough to choose the right color. That’s why you should turn to the experts at major paint companies like Behr, Sherwin-Williams, Glidden, and Benjamin Moore for some ideas on the best paint colors for next year. This way, you’ll have the latest and greatest colors on your walls, which is especially wise if you plan on selling your Scottsdale home any time soon.
Benjamin Moore – Simply White
That’s right- one of the trendiest colors of next year will be white. Simply White, to be specific. Benjamin Moore picked this color because of its ability to pair with a bolder color – or even black – to create a striking contrast.
Even if you want to keep the room light and pair it with other shades of the same color, such as eggshell, you might be surprised by its complexity. If you like a clean, light look, you’ll be pleased by the results you get when you stick to white paint.
You can also create a bit of a contrast – while keeping a rustic feel – by pairing it with wood. So if you have wooden beams or hardwood flooring in your Scottsdale home, splash some Simply White on the walls to create countryside bliss.
Glidden Paints – Cappuccino White
Glidden is another paint company that is predicting the popularity of white next year. Cappuccino White isn’t exactly stark white. Instead, it has a creamy, off-white hue to it that can give your eyes a break from the many bright colors they’re used to viewing.
This particular shade of white has been described as calming, elegant, and peaceful. If these are moods you want to feel in your Scottsdale home, then consider applying this paint to the walls of your living room, bedroom, or anywhere you go to relax.
If you don’t want a whole room to be white, you can pair Cappuccino White with a pastel color, such as purple or blue, or even a neutral shade, such as gray. Of course, the great thing about white paint is that it matches any color, so you can’t go wrong with picking another brighter or darker shade for your mostly white room.
Behr – 20 Shades, with Mostly Neutral Colors and a Few Pastels
Unlike Glidden and Benjamin Moore, Behr couldn’t pick just one color for 2016. Instead, these paint professionals chose a palette with 20 interesting shades. Surely at least one will complement your Scottsdale home!
If you’re looking for a neutral color, consider whites and beiges, such as Ivory Keys, Penthouse View, Fifth Olive-nue, or Mauve Melody. You can also go with Opus, which has a brown hue, or Charcoal Plum for a fresh take on gray. Black Pearl is another color that allows you to play it safe when it comes to painting your Scottsdale home, since it’s a muted color that lies somewhere between gray and black.
But if you’re looking for a pop of color somewhere in your house, Behr has you covered. A few of its popular color predictions happen to be bold and bright. For example, Coralette, Blue Vortex, Raw Copper, and Modern Mint can add some color to your Scottsdale home. And Emperor’s Silk, Pagoda, and Canary Diamond all happen to look great with Black Pearl. You can see all 20 shades for yourself at Behr to figure out which one works for your home.
Sherwin-Williams – Everything from Off-White to Dark Red
Like Behr, Sherwin-Williams chose numerous colors for 2016. Each one fits into one of four color groups. For example, the Pura Vida group includes natural shades, such as Alabaster, Gray Area, and Urbane Bronze. These are great if you’re looking for neutral colors to put on the walls of your Scottsdale home, especially if you plan to sell soon and don’t want to be too bold with the color as you apply a fresh coat of paint.
But if you’re in search of some color, the shades in Mas Amor Por Favor might work better, since this group incorporates mostly interesting pinks and greens. A few options include Different Gold, Charming Pink, and Juneberry.
Want a more rugged look as you update your home in Scottsdale? Check out Nouveau Narrative for shades like Well-Bred Brown, Naval, and Morris Room Grey. Crabby Apple is a slightly bolder shade thrown in there, since it’s a dark red in a sea of browns and blues.
The final group of colors in Sherwin-Williams’ predictions is Trajectory. This is supposed to have a futuristic feel, thanks to its icy blues and classy purples. Blackberry, Quixotic Plum, and Aqua-Sphere are a few examples of the shades in this group.
