DC Ranch resident, Tom Lehman, rallied 13 of his buddies (11 PGA Champion’s Tour legends) to participate in a special “Closest to the Pin Contest” at The Country Club at DC Ranch tomorrow, Monday, October 27th. Proceeds from the contest will go to Cortney’s Place and Elevate Phoenix.

The event kicks-off the week of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship taking place at Desert Mountain beginning Thursday, October 30th.
The players scheduled to compete in the closest to the pin contest are:

- Kirk Triplett
- Bernhard Langer (Cup point leader YTD)
- Hale Irwin
- Michael Allen
- Duffy Waldorf

- Tony Montgomery (event sponsor, and DC Ranch resident)
- Foster Friess
The 13 competitors will be auctioned-off to the highest bidder among the guests at the event then the players will compete to see who can get his shot closest to the pin from the west patio onto the 18th green. It’s about a 90-yard shot.
The contest follows the annual Operation Stars golf tournament at The Country Club at DC Ranch for the benefit of Cortney’s Place. Cortney’s Place is a non-profit 501(c)3 supporting physically and mentally disabled adults.
Elevate Phoenix, also a non-profit, is dedicated to helping Arizona’s youth throughout their challenging high school years improving graduation rates and helping kids elevate their future.
