What’s in store for DC Ranch residents for the month of November? A lot of good cheer and Holiday tradition! Believe it or not it’s time to reserve your spot for the Holiday events scheduled for this month.
What’s synonymous with Holiday cheer? Wine and more wine! Join Grapenuts as they discover Argentina’s varietals of Chardonnay and Merlot and Chile’s Malbecs. Did you know Argentina has the largest vineyards in South America? Head out to Desert Camp on November 8th at 6:00 p.m. to join the group and explore Argentinian and Chilean Reds. Grapenuts is DC Ranch’s wine connoisseur group that meets monthly, so bring a bottle and appetizer and prepare for some great tastings and new friends!
She’s back! Carrie Curran has returned and has created a workshop, Paint and Pinot with Carrie Curran ! No need for guilt when you over indulge in wine and appetizers as you splash some paint on a canvas to create your Holiday master piece. You’ll burn all those calories the following weekend at the Turkey Trot. Mark this creative endeavor on your calendar for November 14th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Cost $35.
DC Ranch residents always give big around this time of year and this year’s goals are even bigger! The Ranch’s annual Turkey Trot around the Desert Camp is slated for November 18th from 8:30 am – 10:30 am. You can choose either the 1 mile walk or the 5K-run! The cost is $5 with every red cent going to the United Food Bank to help local families celebrate a special Thanksgiving meal. If you have a little extra to spare, please bring either a non-perishable food donation or a monetary contribution the morning of the trot. This year’s goal is 1,000 cans! Donations can also be dropped off at The Ranch Offices or Desert Camp through the 17th of November.
With Thanksgiving under our belt, get prepared for Merriment on Market Street! This annual Ranch Tradition includes the tree lighting ceremony and Santa’s parade down Market Street! Mark your calendar for November 30 from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm and be part of the cocoa stroll to roll out the festivities! Don’t forget to bring a new toy for a boy or girl for the annual Childhelp’s Toy Drive or drop one off at the Fire Department located off Market Street through early mid-December.
