November 2019 Events in Scottsdale

Scottsdale International Film Festival (November 1 through November 10)
The 19th Annual Scottsdale International Film Festival is a fabulous event. You’ll find a mix of films across a wide range of interests (you can get a schedule here). Held at various venues across the city, including Harkins Camelview at Scottsdale Fashion Square, Harkins Shea 14 Theatre and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, this year’s film festival features documentaries, French and Italian films, whimsical and humorous films, those that focus on LGBTQ, musical travels and so much more.
Canal Convergence (November 8 through November 17)
Canal Convergence, a 10 day festival where water, art and light blend seamlessly, features “Murmuration,” a site-specific artwork that uses a networked data system to connect hundreds of lights and audio sources – essentially, it’s a responsive data swarm. It’s a dynamic audiovisual experience you can see around the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art each night. It’s also where you’ll see “Standing Wave,” which uses 600 interconnected orbs of light and sound to simulate a wave over the Arizona Canal.
Kierland POP Festival (November 15 and 16)
The two-day Kierland POP Festival promises a series of interactive pop-up experiences that range from wine from Arizona natives, art in unexpected places, a vintage market, live music and ample entertainment. There’s even a night run planned. The celebration kicks off at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa on Friday evening (it’s a ticketed event that’s open to the public), and on Saturday, the festivities continue at Kierland Commons.
ArtFest of Scottsdale (November 23 and 24)
Featuring more than 150 artists from all over the country, ArtFest of Scottsdale is an exceptionally popular annual show. You’ll experience art like you’ve never seen it before, live music from performers on two stages, and plenty of delectable, edible delights. There are hands-on kids’ activities, as well.
