Is this weather just heaven or what? Crisp cool nights with sun-kissed 90 degree days, the absolute perfect weather in Arizona! Well DC Ranch has a lot going on in the month of May to keep you on your toes and on the go! Here are some highlights, but make sure you check out the entire calendar of events for this month.
In the Garden
With spring in full bloom you won’t want to miss out on The Garden hours. Tyler Storey, Certified Desert Landscaper and Master Gardener, will be on hand at The Garden on May 6th and 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for questions you may have about gardening or landscaping. This is a great opportunity to discuss preparation for your garden for the warmer summer months. A gentle remember, garden hours are reduced to once a month over the summer so take advantage of this while you can!
There will be only one garden workshop in May and it’s all about basil. How to grow basil in pots in your backyard and how to cook basil in pots in the kitchen!
The DIY workshop is May 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in The Garden and several lucky winners will take home the potted creations made that morning.
Field Trip into Phoenix
You know all those white vans you see driving around the DC Ranch communities with one word on the side? Online purchasing from Amazon and Amazon Prime Now with a 2 hour delivery window has taken America by storm. I want, what I want, when I want it!
The next time you get your Amazon Prime Now package look in the upper left portion of the label and it will say Fulfillment Center. Well this huge facility is right in our own backyard and the DC Ranch residents are invited on a field trip to tour this amazing warehouse full of goodies. The cost is $15 and the bus will leave The Homestead this Thursday promptly at 9:00 a.m. There’ll be a lot of walking so leave your heals in the closet and wear something comfy. All tours have been closed to the public and this is the only way to see it.
DC Ranch Women’s Club: Spring Social
Ladies, mark your calendar for the DC Ranch Women’s Club: Spring Social on May 11th from 5-7 p.m. You’ll find the party happening at Camden Foothills Clubhouse Social Lounge. Share a ride and join a great group of women for a night out on the town.
Making life easier for DC Ranch residents Dine, Shop, Services
We hope you took notice of the new user-friendly website recently launched by the DC Ranch HOA. Not only is it a stellar new look but it has new functions as well. You can now take advantage of on-line registering for calendar events, reserving times for pickle ball and tennis, reviewing the Board of Director’s minutes and agendas, locating neighborhood voting members, filling out pertinent information such as your gate access form, and paying your assessments online. There’s much more so log on and peruse!
