Foothills Animal Rescue saves dogs and cats from euthanasia everyday. It is located just one mile from DC Ranch at 23030 N Pima Road in Scottsdale 85255, just south of Pinnacle Peak Road on the west side of Pima.

Foothills Animal Rescue is a ‘no-kill’ shelter, and home to 60 or more cats and dogs on any given day.

Residents of DC Ranch and Silverleaf support Foothills Animal Rescue not only by adopting many of the animals, but by volunteering and contributing in a number of ways. Volunteers from the community walk dogs, care for cats, are counselors at local pet adoption events, donate goods to the resale store, volunteer their time to work in the resale shop and/or just play with the animals.

As a non-profit organization the shelter relies on the service of volunteers, community donations, and revenue from the resale shop and adoption fees to provide shelter and care for pets, give medical assistance, feed animals, keep the shelter clean and guide owners (new and potential) on pet care.
DC Ranch residents looking to adopt a dog or cat, can stop in the shelter Tuesday-Saturday or visit one of the adoption events nearly every weekend at Petsmart or Pet Club.
