February is coming up fast, and with it comes plenty of fun in DC Ranch. Check out these events for kids, tweens, and adults who live in our charming Scottsdale neighborhood.
TGIF for kids
Adults are not the only ones who are relieved when Friday arrives. Kids love Fridays, too, especially when they get to go to TGIF events in DC Ranch! On Friday, February 5, kids ages 4-7 can head to the Desert Camp Community Center to enjoy Little Wranglers, during which Play-Well TEKnologies will show them how to use LEGOs to learn, have fun, and increase their confidence. Pizza will be served for dinner during this event.
This event will take place from 6:00-8:30 pm, and you can register your little ones here for $20 each.
TGIF for tweens
DC Ranch events are fun for everyone, including residents between the ages of 8-12. On Friday, February 5, from 6 -9 pm, tweens can enjoy dinner and a movie with friends, because this TGIF event is headed to the Scottsdale Quarter’s iPic Theatres to see Kung Fu Panda 3.
For the price of $20 per child, tweens who attend this event can see the movie and get an appetizer, dinner, and soda. Register your tweens here, and then drop them off at the Desert Camp Community Center by 6 pm on February 5.
Passport to Art
Artists living in DC Ranch will get a chance to show off their work in a gallery setting at the Passport to Art. This DC Ranch event will take place at the Desert Camp Community Center on February 9, from 5:30-7:00 pm.
If you’re 21 years or older and interested in seeing just how talented your neighbors are, simply RSVP here and then show up ready to admire works of art from local residents like Barbara Gray, Kay Eneim, and Ron Tartarella. If you are interested in displaying your own artwork, contact Lynette Whitener by calling (480) 538-3586 or emailing lynette.whitener@dcranchinc.com.
DC Ranch Women’s Club Coffee and Cookies
On Wednesday, February 10, women who live in DC Ranch can head to the Desert Camp Community Center to enjoy coffee and cookies with their neighbors. You can RSVP starting January 11, but one guest who we already know will be there is Robyn Moul of the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center. She will be discussing the center’s plans to rescue wild animals that are native to the area.
This fun DC Ranch event goes from 10 am-12 pm. You can RSVP for it here.
Cowboy Picnic for DC Ranch Day
Yet another reason to own a DC Ranch home is that you get to participate in fun community events, like DC Ranch Day! This year, there’s a Western-themed picnic, which means you should put on your boots and a 10-gallon hat, both of which are perfect for line dancing and riding the mechanical bull!
At this DC Ranch event, dinner will include hot dogs, BBQ beef sandwiches, smoked brisket chili, mac and cheese, vegetarian chili, and more. If you prefer to cook your own chili because it’s the best around, enter the Chili Challenge! Just send an email to lynette.whitener@dcranchinc.com and then bring your homemade chili in a crockpot on the day of the event.
The Cowboy Picnic will take place at the Homestead Community Center on Saturday, February 20th, from 4-6 pm. Tickets for adults cost $10 each, while kids 12 and under are $5 and those 3 and under get in free. You can register ahead of time here.
These are only a small sampling of some of the events DC Ranch residents have easy access to. If you don’t live here yet and need some help finding a Scottsdale home you love, let The Matheson Team help you today so you can get in on all the fun!
