The holidays may be over, but there are still plenty of fun events you can attend in DC Ranch as January gets under way.
TGIF: Little Wranglers – Friday, January 6
If you’re hoping to get the kids out of the house to have some fun, you’ll want to take them to Little Wranglers. This event is for children ages 4 to 7 and will take place on Friday, January 6, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
During this event, they can use Legos to build some amazing Minecraft creations, such as a Creeper, Minecart and a portal. This fun activity will be held at Desert Camp Community Center. The $20 fee includes pizza for dinner, and you can register here.
TGIF: Tween Night – Friday, January 6
If you have older kids who’d like something to do the same night, take them to Tween Night from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Meant for children ages 8 to 13, this event will take them to Epic Escape Phoenix, in which they will play a game that invites them to look for clues to help them escape the room they’re in.
Drop-off and pickup will be at Desert Camp Community Center. The $30 registration fee includes pizza for dinner, and you can register here.
Grapenuts – Wednesday, January 11
If you want an adult night out, go to Grapenuts on January 11 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This is DC Ranch’s own wine appreciation group, you can expect to taste plenty of different wines at each monthly meeting.
Getting involved with Grapenuts is easy. Just bring a bottle of red or white wine and a food pairing you’d like to share with the group. Then get ready to discover your new favorite wine, all without leaving your neighborhood! Grapenuts takes place at the Desert Camp Community Center. You can RSVP here.
Kids Corral – Thursday, January 12
If you have small children, take them to Kids Corral, which is held every other Thursday morning at Desert Camp Community Center. From 9:30 am to 10:30 am, children ages 1 to 5 can listen to stories, play games and socialize with each other.

Food Truck Night – Thursday, January 12
Don’t worry about making dinner on Thursday. Now you can get dinner to go without leaving DC Ranch, thanks to Food Truck Night. Just go to the Desert Camp Community Center parking lot from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
You’ll find two food trucks to choose from. One is Can’t Stop Smokin’ BBQ, which sells everything from pulled pork and smoked sausage to brisket and ribs. The other food truck is Oh So Good Mini Donuts, perfect for a snack or dessert after dinner.
DC Ranch Women’s Club – Thursday, January 12
Women in DC Ranch are invited to attend Bits & Bites Appetizer Demo with Executive Chef Lenard Rubin. From 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Homestead Community Center, you can watch this award-winning chef cook up two appetizers and a small dessert.
The $25 fee includes the food samples the chef creates, as well as wine and other beverages. You can register here.
