If you’re looking for a few activities that will help get you in the holiday spirit, you’ll be glad to know that DC Ranch has some holiday-themed events planned for the first week of December. Take a look at what you and your family can do without even leaving the area.
The Giving Tree – November 30
One annual holiday activity that DC Ranch residents look forward to is the Giving Tree. All throughout the month of November, you can head to either of the two DC Ranch community centers to grab a wish tag from the Giving Tree. Then you can buy a present for a person in need based on your wish tag.
Make sure you turn in your unwrapped gifts with their accompanying tags to either community center by November 30. Then DC Ranch’s partner charity, Homeward Bound, will assist the staff in giving the gifts to participating families in need.
Hot Cocoa Stroll on Market Street – December 1
On Thursday, December 1, your family will have the perfect excuse to get outside in the evening to celebrate the fact that Christmas is less than a month away! Santa will arrive on Market Street at 5:30 pm, and at 6:00, Copper Ridge School will provide a rousing musical performance.
At 7:00 pm, the tree lighting will take place. And from the event’s beginning to its end at 8:00, you can stroll around, drink hot cocoa, eat sweet holiday treats, and more.
Off the Ranch – December 2
Even this month’s Off the Ranch event is festive. At 5:30 pm on Friday, December 2, the Off the Ranch group will be meeting at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort’s Stonegrill Restaurant. Get a drink from the bar when you arrive, and then enjoy dinner with friends at 6:00 pm.
After dinner, you can admire the gingerbread houses the resort has on display for the holiday season. This event costs $25 per person, which will be put toward your bill at dinner. You can register here to reserve your spot.
PJs and Pancakes – December 3
It’s early December, which means it’s time to get together to celebrate the holidays while wearing your pajamas! PJs and Pancakes takes place on Saturday, December 3, from 9:00 to 10:30 am. It’s Grinch-themed and features breakfast, including pancakes, eggs, hot cocoa, and even a coffee bar for the parents.
After breakfast, your family can take pictures, make ornaments, enter drawings to win prizes, and more. You can register up to six people in your family at this DC Ranch holiday event. Children up to age 3 get in free, while children 4 to 12 cost $5 and anyone age 13 and up is $10. You can register your family here.
