Well, it’s just days away from April 15th, when the tax man cometh. Good news usually isn’t associated with this day, unless you are getting a tax refund. Well, this year is a little different if you are a hiker, a cyclist, a camper, a boater, a day tripper or anything in between, who enjoys and appreciates the stunning beauty of the state parks here in Arizona.
Beginning this year, you can now elect to give some or all of your refund to the Sustainable State Parks and Roads Fund. It’s as easy as filling in line 73 of your Form 140. You may donate any amount to this fund, regardless of whether you are making a gift from your tax return. Just simply notate the amount on line 73 and include the payment with your return.
Be part of the legacy in ensuring the natural beauty of Arizona is there for your children. Contributions made to this fund will aid Arizona in the maintenance and operation of state parks and will help fund capital improvements to roads, buildings, and any structures used to operate Arizona state parks.
And to keep everyone honest and ensure those dollars are going where they say they are going, be a watch dog and follow the allocation through AZStateParks.com/checkout, or you can call 602-542-4174 for information.
