The owners are William and Debra McDermott, who have a passion for wine that they are eager to share with North Scottsdale residents. They moved to the area from California in 2012, leaving behind careers in the Information Technology industry so they could focus on their new wine bar.
When you go to Decanter Winery & Lounge, you can enjoy some red, white, and sparkling varieties of wine at reasonable prices. As a bonus, much of the wine served there will be made on-site using grapes from various countries.
Not only will you be able to sample wine in the tasting room, but you will also be able to order from a menu that features fresh, healthy food that pairs perfectly with wine. On the weekends, you can enjoy the same delicious wine and food with a side of live music.
One detail that will set Decanter Winery & Lounge apart from many other wine bars is that you won’t just drink wine, you’ll also learn a lot about it. For example, this wine bar will host events that teach you which wines pair best with which foods. You can also go here to learn about fermentation tactics, different varietals of wine, and how to identify wine by its taste and smell. You can even make your own unique wine, which you can then bottle up and label with a little help from the owners.
