Scottsdale artist Pricilla Nelson is the guest of the DC Ranch Community Council on Thursday, November 13 from 5:30-7:00 pm. Ms. Nelson will be at the Desert Camp Community center in DC Ranch on the southeast corner of Desert Camp and Thompson Peak Parkway.
Passport to Art is a program the Council hosts every other month for residents to meet local craftspeople and artists. The artists show their work and/or do demonstrations to teach new techniques and styles.
Ms. Nelson started painting at 15 and, at 16, she was invited to the Smithsonian to participate in a program for artists who showed great potential. Her art is now world-renowned.
Her art is realistic and focuses on the clothes or accessories people wear. She feels the colors and fabrics let the individual tell their own personal story.
You will find her work in national and international galleries and both private and public collections.
The event is complimentary for residents. Beer, wine and light appetizers will be served.
