DC Ranch Food Circle, established by the DC Ranch Community Council has been providing non-perishable household goods to the Foothills Food Bank for a number of years. The group collects items at the Desert Camp Community Center on Thompson Peak Parkway at Desert Camp Drive. You can drop off items anytime.
The Foothills Food Bank is in urgent need of supplies and your donations are greatly appreciated. Last year alone DC Ranch residents donated over 1,000 pounds of goods to the DC Ranch Food Circle to help people in need in our community.
Items needed:
- lunch soups/stews/chili
- canned tuna/chicken/salmon
- canned tomatoes
- sauces and pastas
- rice
- peanut butter and jelly
- sugar
- flour
- tea/coffee
- dried and canned beans
- diapers
- paper goods, plates/tissue/towels
For our year-round DC Ranch residents, as well as those who are returning over the next month for the winter season, it’s a great time for a fall cleaning of your kitchen cupboards. Why not take the items you’re not likely to use and bring them to the Community Center?
If you’re moving into a new home, keep the DC Ranch Food Circle in mind and donate your goods before you move.
Make DCRanchHomes your go-to resource for community and real estate information.
