This month the DC Ranch Community Council introduced a program bringing together new and current homeowners in DC Ranch. It is a Neighborhood Welcome Committee, and the purpose is to welcome and introduce new residents to the community.

The Neighborhood Welcome Committee is another example of why I believe DC Ranch is a special place to live.
We’ve already talked about some of the many differentiators in our community: location and proximity, a comprehensive and visionary master plan, a governing structure that maintains and preserves the community, and amenities that bring people together into a real neighborhood where people know and help each other.
In the welcome program, new DC Ranch residents are first contacted by the HOA to assure they are interested in participating. Then, existing resident-volunteers schedule a time and stop in for a visit with the new homeowner.
In addition to sharing information about DC Ranch amenities, volunteers bring new residents a gift, share inside-the-neighborhood information and become a natural connecting point for new residents.
