It’s that time of year again, the DC Ranch Back to School Bash is next week. This is the signal to start preparing for the first day of class and to establish some family ground rules to get back into the routine.
But not so fast, because the kiddos deserve one last party on the beach and the DC Ranch kids and parents get just that, with exclusive access to the leisure pool, 600’ lazy river, Party Island and tube water slide at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center!
Before the party and the start of the year, you’ll need a few things in place like new school supplies, new outfits, a new haircut and maybe even a mani and pedi for the girls. When you head out to do your back-to-school shopping, can you pick up some greatly needed school supplies for 6,000 students within the Scottsdale Unified School District? DC Ranch Gives has partnered with the City of Scottsdale and here’s a list of what is needed, but feel free to pick up anything that is school supply related.

One subject notebooks Pencils
Loose-leaf paper Crayons
Pocket folders Markers
Glue sticks
Who’s invited to the Bash? DC Ranch resident families only with a limit of 6 to a household! There’ll be food, crazy water games, a live DJ and a special treat of Mauna Kea Shave Ice for everyone!
If you’re in your late teens and think there’s nothing for you, think again! The Aquatic Center sits on 75-acres and has 3 soccer fields, 2 lit ball fields, a fitness center with machine weights, dumbbells, and cardio machines, and a 16,000 square feet Skate Park that is open to all skateboarders and inline skaters.
Don’t miss this special end-of-summer outing because it’s a great way for the kids to reconnect, and parents too. The Aquatic Center is located at 15525 N Thompson Peak Parkway and the Bash begins Friday, August 4th at 6 pm and goes until the kids are exhausted and water logged and it’s a wrap at 8:30 pm. Adult attendance is required for youth 12 and under! Admission is $5 plus a school supply donation for the City of Scottsdale’s Back to School program.
