The DC Ranch Community Council has announced that Tyler Storey is joining the Community Garden team at Copper Ridge School as “Garden Coach”. He’ll be in the garden on Saturday, October 18th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm to assist and answer gardening questions.
Storey is a Certified Desert Landscaper, Master Gardener and member of the International Society of Arboriculture. Having a Master Gardener on our Community Garden team is a great opportunity for the homeowners of DC Ranch who are not desert “natives” to learn how to adapt their gardening techniques.

Every month, in addition to his hours in the Garden, Tyler will host gardening workshops for DC Ranch residents. His next workshop, titled “Soil Preparation,” is on Wednesday, October 29 at 5:30 pm at the Community Garden.
The DC Ranch Community Garden opened earlier this year as a way for residents to get to know each other, learn how to build a self-reliant food source together, get a little exercise and have fun. DC Ranch residents can rent parcels in the Community Garden to grow their own fresh produce. Jona Davies is the point of contact for the Garden, and she can be reached at 480-538-3582.
