If you’re looking for a community event this February that won’t require you to leave DC Ranch, you’ll be glad to know that DC Ranch Day is coming up! On Saturday, February 11, the whole neighborhood is invited to the Homestead Community Center to attend DC Ranch Day: Casa de Cowboys from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Here’s what you can expect from this local event.
Dancing and games
If you’re hoping for a chance to wear your dancing shoes – or just your cowboy boots – now is the perfect time. Country rock band Georgia Chrome will be playing live to get everyone in the dancing mood.
If you have two left feet, don’t worry. There’s still fun to be had at this event, including cornhole and other lawn games for the whole family.
Tasty food
If you want wild west-themed food, there will be street tacos with spicy chicken or beef, pico de gallo, guacamole, salsa, and more.
There will also be Tejano beans, grilled Mexican street corn, Spanish rice, and cheese quesadillas, to name a few more options. Dessert and beverages, including sweet tea and raspberry lemonade, will also be served.
Salsa Challenge
Make sure you save room for plenty of salsa, because you’ll want to try out all the entries in the Salsa Challenge. From sweet to spicy, you can expect a wide range of salsa to try, using the chips provided by Jalapeno Inferno on Market Street.

Access to gated areas in DC Ranch
One of the most interesting offerings of DC Ranch Day is the All Access Drive Around Pass. This lets you enter any of the gated neighborhoods in DC Ranch from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
This means you get to check out all the home styles, parks and mountain views that make up the many areas of DC Ranch.
You can start using the All Access Pass at 1:00 pm, and then you can tour the Country Club at DC Ranch at 3:15 pm if you’re interested in seeing what it has to offer residents. Then head to the Homestead Community Center at 4:00 pm, and get ready for the Salsa Challenge to start at 5:00 pm.
Admission to DC Ranch Day is free, but you need to RSVP here by February 9.
