If you live in DC Ranch and are looking for a great way to celebrate summer this August, you’re in luck. DC Ranch residents are invited to two different pool parties within the next few weeks. Here’s what you need to know about each refreshing event.

Back to School Bash
DC Ranch children and parents alike are invited to say goodbye to summer with a pool party at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center. This fun event will take place the weekend before school starts, on Saturday, August 6, from 6 to 8:30 pm.
That evening, the aquatic center will be open only to DC Ranch residents, so you can look forward to enjoying the pool, lazy river, water slide, and more. While you’re splashing around with your family and neighbors, you can participate in some games, listen to the DJ play music, or enjoy the food that will be available.
While there is no cost for this DC Ranch summer event, you’re encouraged to bring some school supplies to donate in order to help out students at South Scottsdale’s Navajo Elementary. You also need to register for the event by August 5.
Night Waves
DC Ranch has plenty of family-friendly events, but once in a while the adults need to get away for a kid-free evening. Night Waves is one event that makes this easy to do. Hosted at the Desert Camp Community Center pool, this swim party will take place on Friday, August 19, from 7 to 9 pm.
The host of this event in DC Ranch is OHSO Brewery & Distillery, which will be providing beer, wine, and mixed drinks to attendees. There will also be music and games to enjoy during this summer event.
The $10 entry fee includes two drinks, and you can register here up until August 18. If you can’t make it this time, don’t worry. There will be another Night Waves event in the same place on Friday, September 16!
