Copper Ridge Elementary School in DC Ranch
1) Copper Ridge Elementary School is located within the boundaries of the DC Ranch community. It was ranked 115th out of 1089 elementary schools in the state, according to SchoolDigger.com, which ranks schools based on the 2012-2013 AIMS Math and AIMS Reading tests for 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.
Copper Ridge educates students from kindergarten through 8th grade. It has a Student/Teacher ratio of 16.4. To distinguish itself from other public schools, Copper Ridge Elementary has a Uniform Dress Policy to create a learning environment of equality and focus.
2) Pinnacle Peak Elementary School was ranked 42nd, according to SchoolDigger.com. Although Pinnacle Peak Elementary is located in Scottsdale, it is technically part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District.
The principle, Dr. Michael Lee, is very involved with the students, and is constantly working to improve transparency of the school through his YouTube channel.
Pinnacle Peak holds an “A” grade ranking, which means it “demonstrated an excellent level of performance. For example, an “A” school may have the large majority of their students passing AIMS and AIMS A and typical academic growth in at least the 70th percentile” -Arizona Department of Education.
It has a Student/Teacher ratio of 19.5.
3) Last but not least is Grayhawk Elementary School. It was ranked 22nd out of the 1089 elementary schools in the state of Arizona!
Like Pinnacle Peak Elementary, Grayhawk is also in Scottsdale but belongs to PVUSD. Grayhawk firmly believes in partnership and encourages participation of family and community involvement to take the student’s desire to learn to the next level.
In addition to also being an “A” grade school, Grayhawk Elementary is proud to be one of only two schools in the state to be a Core Knowledge visitation site. Grayhawk Elementary has a Student/Teacher ratio of 20.3, one of the lowest in the area.
