Phoenix Fashion Week 2019

Phoenix Fashion Week 2019 is billed as the leading fashion industry event in the Southwest, and it’s happening this year at the Talking Stick Resort. You’ll see creations from Arizona’s top designers, live and on the runway.

Scottstoberfest

Hosted at Scottsdale Fashion Square on October 5, Scottstoberfest is a huge celebration featuring live entertainment, local food trucks and vendors serving classic German food, and plenty of contests.

10th Annual Arizona Taco Festival

A decade of tacos – what’s not to celebrate? The 10th annual Arizona Taco Festival runs on October 12 and 13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. There’s a Chihuahua Beauty pageant, multiple bars and soft drink stations, and more than 50 restaurant and food trucks dishing up amazing tacos for everyone. Visit the Taco Society Culture Tent, which is dedicated to taco-inspired art, fashion, food, music, culture and photography, or dive into the hot chili pepper eating contest. You’ll hear live music, check out the Lucha Libre Wrestling Arena or sample more than 80 types of hot sauce – it’s all part of this fabulous weekend of fun.

Scottsdale Whiskey Festival

The 2019 Scottsdale Whiskey Festival on October 12, held in Old Town at Wasted Grain, is the place to be to sample more than 20 varieties of whiskeys, bourbons and scotches from all over the world.

Maricopa County Home & Garden Show

The Maricopa County Home & Garden Show, held on October 18 through October 20, will be at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Martha Stewart will be there doing a meet-and-greet, as well as talking about her bestie Snoop Dogg, and you can make your own bath bombs, join The Painted Ladies to design fall-themed decor, and dive into plenty of workshops to learn all about improving your space.

Harvest Wine and Food Festival

The Harvest Wine and Food Festival on October 19 at LDV Winery is a fabulous fall day of wine-centric activities. You’ll enjoy live music, food and wine lovers’ seminars and even a good, old-fashioned grape stomping at 1 p.m. (but you have to sign up ahead of time for that one).

Balance Yoga Festival

The Balance Yoga Festival at Eldorado Park is a great way to spend October 20. You’ll join Balance, a group of yoga enthusiasts, for the community wellness festival featuring 12 workshops, four master classes, lots of lectures and plenty of food.

Halloween Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival

Join the rest of Scottsdale on October 25 and 26 for the Halloween Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival at Salt River Fields. More than 20 hot air balloons will be on display – and they’re passing out over 4,000 pounds of candy for trick-or-treaters. You’ll hear live music all day, and the kids can dive right into the Kids Zone, hop on a tethered balloon ride or stroll down the haunted Spooky Trail.

Scottsdale Fall Festival

The 50th annual Scottsdale Fall Festival on October 26 is a great night of fun, treats and scares. Held at Eldorado Park between 5 and 9 p.m., the Fall Festival features 25 game booths, a toddler area for kids age 4 and younger, lots of live entertainment, and a haunted forest. There’s also an inflatable arena for kids (wristbands required).
