Microsoft YouthSpark Workshops at Scottsdale Fashion Square
Microsoft is hosting a series of YouthSpark Workshops for local kids in kindergarten through 12th grade. These amazing workshops – open to various ages – are at the Microsoft Store at Scottsdale Fashion Square. All you have to do is show up with your kids!
- June 25: Stempreneur
- June 26: Rise of a Hero Paint 3D event
- June 28: Code Your Own Video Game
- June 29: Harry Potter Creative Coding Camp, 3D Soccer Art, Ohbot the Talking Robot

Apple’s Coding Lab for Kids
At Apple’s Coding Lab for Kids, children can help a Sphero robot navigate its way through obstacles by using block-based coding, including programming simple movements, changing colors and more. This event is made just for kids aged 6 to 12, and it’s being held at Apple SanTan Village and a few other Scottsdale locations on:

- June 30
- July 1
- July 2
- July 6
- July 8

Kids’ Floral Design Class and Tour
On Saturday, July 17, the Arizona Flower Market is holding a kids’ design class where they’ll create a colorful arrangement, learn about flower prep and flower handling. They’ll also get a full tour of the Arizona Flower Market, including the store’s 4,000-square-foot cooler, greenhouse and design center.

Amazing Arizona Kids! Explore Arizona
The Amazing Arizona Kids! Explore Arizona meetup at the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park in Tempe is hosting three more events before school starts again. These are the events for kids aged 5 to 10:
- June 20: Arizona Fossils
- June 27: Ancient Hohokam
- July 11: Arizona Rocks

Free Foam Frenzy at OdySea
The Free Foam Frenzy at OdySea is a great way to beat the heat and let the kids burn off some energy. With endless foam parties, fire truck water play, a water squirter battle zone and plenty of other fun water activities in the Desert Courtyard, your kids will be able to have a blast with their friends while you enjoy the fun from a safe – and dry – distance. The Free Foam Frenzy is on June 29 and June 30 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
