Celebrate the Fourth with all your favorite animals at the Phoenix Zoo this year. Enjoy a catered BBQ dinner, hop on free Endangered Species Carousel rides and get free access to Stingray Bay, check out the live DJ and animal guest appearances, and watch the fireworks from the back of the zoo (they’ll be over Tempe Town Lake) at 9 p.m.

Anthem’s Independence Day Celebration
Join everyone in Anthem (and beyond) on July 3 for a big bash that includes fun rides, festival food, plenty of activities and fireworks. The fun starts at 6 p.m. in Community Park, and the fireworks display starts at 9:30 p.m.

Arizona Celebration of Freedom
The Arizona Celebration of Freedom at 263 North Center Street in Mesa is a fabulous, fun-filled event with rides, live entertainment, water splashes, BMX racing, car shows and historical reenactments. The event starts at 6 p.m. and the fireworks kick off at about 9:30.

Celebrate America! at Lake Pleasant
Celebrate America! at Lake Pleasant, which takes place on July 3 (and leaves July 4 free for other festivities) is a fabulously fun event starting at 5 p.m. With plenty of kid-friendly activities, including water slides and bounce houses, as well as plenty of food trucks and activities, live music and more, it’s the place to be. Tickets range between $15 and $35 per person.

Chandler’s July 4th Fireworks Spectacular
Chandler’s annual July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at Tumbleweed Park lasts from 6:30 p.m. to about 10 p.m., with fireworks at 9:00. This is the city’s largest summer event, and the schedule is packed with family-friendly activities, live music and plenty of food and drink. Parking is $5 per vehicle, and they only accept cash.

Fabulous Phoenix Fourth
The 34th annual Fabulous Phoenix Fourth is scheduled to have one of the largest fireworks displays in the entire Southwest. The event is free and non-alcoholic, and it’s going to feature two stages with live entertainment – music and performers – as well as festival-style food and drinks, interactive exhibits and a classic car show. Kids can jump on inflatables and ride rides, as well as play in the Kids’ World water spray zone.

Fourth at the Fountain
Fourth at the Fountain at Fountain Park is going to be an amazing event. The fun starts at 6 p.m. with live music, bounce houses and a rock-climbing wall for kids, and DJ Steve Grosz playing music throughout the night. The program wraps up with a stunning fireworks display over Fountain Lake at 9 p.m.

July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival
The July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival, which also benefits the Kiwanis Club of Tempe, is a fun event featuring live music and a fireworks spectacular over the lake. Tickets are available for advance purchase ($8 at Fry’s or online), although military service members with an active ID card get in free.

Peoria All-American Festival
The City of Peoria’s All-American Festival is a free event featuring live entertainment (music by Cadillac Angels and Surfin’ USA, a Beach Boys Tribute Band), a cornhole tournament, two water zones for kids, food eating contests, and plenty of food and beer concessions. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m., and even parking is free.

Scottsdale’s 4th of July Celebration at WestWorld
Scottsdale’s 4th of July Celebration at WestWorld is an indoor “patriotic wonderland” – but the fireworks are definitely outside. Check out pro gamers on big-screens, appearances by American Ninja Warrior Adam Rayl, a stunt dog show and plenty of rides in the Kids’ Zone. Captain Marvel and Captain America will show up, too, and so will Curious George. Pony rides, a petting zoo and even bull riding are all part of the event, and the huge fireworks show kicks off at 9 p.m.
