Whether your interests lie in the arts, craft beer, or charity, you’ll find a fun Scottsdale event to participate in this week. Take a look at small selection of some of the March activities you can choose from when you live in or around Scottsdale.
Carousel Charity Horse Show
If you appreciate the beauty of show horses, you’ll want to check out the Carousel Charity Horse Show at WestWorld of Scottsdale. It takes place on Thursday, March 10 from 8 am-5 pm, with free admission.

Scottsdale Arts Festival
The 46th Annual Scottsdale Arts Festival will take place at the Civic Center Mall from Friday, March 11 to Sunday, March 13. If you go to this fun Scottsdale event, you can expect to see the work of 170 carefully chosen artists from the USA and Canada. You can meet with the artists, buy their artwork, take part in activities, listen to live music, buy food from local food trucks, and more.
The festival begins at 10 am and ends at 6 pm on Friday and Saturday, and it starts at 10 am and ends at 5 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10 per adult per day, and kids under 12 get in free. You can find out more about the Scottsdale Arts Festival here.
National Butterfly Day
If you like both pottery and butterflies, head to Butterfly Wonderland on Saturday, March 12. From 11 am-3 pm, this popular Scottsdale attraction will be celebrating National Butterfly Day with an As You Wish Pottery Painting Place station.
When you go to this Scottsdale event, you can make your own pottery for $5 per item. While you wait for it to dry, you and your family can listen to presentations about the many butterfly species and other bugs on display. Head to the Butterfly Wonderland website for more information.
Fate Brewing Co. celebrates winning Best Beer Bar in Arizona
CratfBeer.com recently named Scottsdale’s own Fate Brewing Co. as the Best Beer Bar in Arizona. That might not come as a surprise to anyone who’s visited, considering the bar has brewed more than 200 tasty beers in only three short years.
The original location of this Scottsdale brewery is on Shea Boulevard, with a second location on Scottsdale Road. That second location – called Fate South – is where the brewery will be celebrating its new title as Best Beer Bar in Arizona by offering $3 pints on Saturday, March 12, from 3-6 pm.
Run for Ryan House
You can walk to this Scottsdale event, since it’s right here in DC Ranch! For the 12th year in a row, you can run through the McDowell Mountains in support of Ryan House, which is a place where children with life threatening diseases can feel at home for short-term stays while getting the care they need.
The Run for Ryan House takes place on Saturday, March 13. It starts at 7 am in DC Ranch and features a variety of races, including a 1-Mile Family Fun Run, 5K, and 10K. Check out the Ryan House website to learn more about this popular Scottsdale event in DC Ranch.
