If you’re looking at homes for sale in DC Ranch or Scottsdale in general, you’re in good company. Plenty of celebrities have purchased luxury homes in the area over the years, and even moved further north from Paradise Valley.
Check out these five famous singers and athletes who own North Scottsdale luxury homes:
Charles Barkley
The former Phoenix Suns basketball player bought a mansion in Gainey Ranch in 1998. He paid about $2 million for the 6,000-square-foot house, which has space for 8 cars in the garage. However, it’s been reported that he expanded the house after buying it so it is even larger now. The backyard looks like a great place to enjoy sunny Arizona days, and features a swimming pool, tennis courts, a putting green for the basketball great to practice his golf game, and lots of lush trees that provide shade and privacy for his sprawling Scottsdale property.
Bret Michaels
Poison’s lead singer said he “fell in love with the desert” as a young adult, and eventually bought a home in North Scottsdale. The beautiful home at Silverleaf in DC Ranch boasts 10,800 square feet with 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and space for 5 cars in the garage. It also has a chef’s kitchen, home theater, wine cellar, and several fireplaces, to name a few premium features. The outside of the property is pretty impressive, too, with nearly 3 acres surrounding it, a guest house, an infinity pool, and incredible views of the valley. And of course, Silverleaf is a guard-gated community.
Kurt Warner
The Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams football star sold his Paradise Valley home to move to North Scottsdale, where he is now the offensive coordinator for the Desert Mountain High School football team. His new home cost $3.6 million and features 18,000 square feet of space. That’s enough room to fit 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and an indoor basketball court. The backyard has a large football field, in-ground trampoline, and a pool with multiple waterfalls.
Danica Patrick
This well-known race car driver owns a gorgeous North Scottsdale home in the Ancala community, which is located at the base of the McDowell Mountains near Taliesin West. She paid a little over $4 million for the house, which has more than 7,500 square feet with 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and a 7-car garage. Like many North Scottsdale luxury homes, there is also a gym, wine cellar, and pool on the 5-acre property.
David Ellefson
He found success years ago as the bass player for Megadeth, and is now a resident of North Scottsdale. In fact, he has lived in the Southwest since 1999, when he bought his home for $310,000. It features a little over 3,000 square feet, with a sparkling pool in the backyard.
