Learn how to make classic cocktails this Saturday at the Desert Camp Community Center in DC Ranch.
Alongside the rave of local craft brews and regional wines comes the retro-drink culture. And what’s trending in this retro-drink culture just might surprise you. Think gimlets, sours, bourbon old fashioned, manhattans, and martinis (shaken not stirred) — all the old classics.
- You’ll not only enjoy the tastes of these classic drinks throughout the evening, you will explore how they came to fruition and learn the secrets of the recipes.
- You’ll learn the art of using a strainer, a cocktail shaker, and a muddler to make the perfect drink.
- You’ll learn which glass and garnishment goes with what drink and why.
And hopefully you’ll walk away with the skill set to impress friends and family when you invite them over for a cocktail party!
An added bonus? Sampling the pairings of hors d’ oeuvres with the drinks that will be served.
