The Country Club at DC Ranch has just announced the over-seeding and course preparation schedule for the 2014-15 golf season. The timeline is slightly different than in previous years as the course will close and re-open one week earlier.

The Matheson Team can’t wait for the opening day “welcome-back” tournament scheduled for Friday, October 24! It signals the start of Scottsdale’s busiest season of the year. We are DC Ranch real estate experts, and we will be gearing up for a busy real estate season, too.
August 18 – 19 – The course and practice facilities are closed for aerification of tees and greens. The course re-opens on August 20th. Anticipated full recovery is 7 to 10 days.
September 15 – Fairways will be cut to 3/8″ and rough will be cut to 3/4″. Watering will be reduced on all turf.
September 22 – The course and practice areas will close for over-seeding. All club house, tennis and other activities continue.
- Rye grass seed will begin being spread at a rate of 600 pounds per acre. This is the same rate as last year.
- Bermuda greens will be overseeded.
October 17 – The course re-opens for regular play, one week earlier than previous years.
October 24 – 12:30 pm – “Welcome Back” golf tournament followed by scoring party and Happy-Hour. For members only. (Be sure to sign up early as this big event fills up fast.)
November 7 – Put on your dance shoes, members, for the unveiling of the renovated clubhouse and opening party!
