When you’re selling a home in DC Ranch, you want to sell it quickly and at the best possible price. Fortunately, there are seven things you can do right now to increase your chances of selling quickly (and at the right price).
7 Ways to Sell Your Luxury Home Fast
Selling a home is a big transaction, and it requires you to do a little prep work. Check out these seven tips:
- Work with the right REALTOR®
- Clean your home from top to bottom
- Make small rooms appear larger
- Give every room a purpose
- Stage all the hotspots
- Clear out your garage
- Work on curb appeal
Here’s a closer look at each.
#1. Work with the right REALTOR
There are a number of real estate agents in Scottsdale, but it’s in your best interest to work with someone who has plenty of experience selling in DC Ranch. The community is different from anywhere else – and you need an experienced DC Ranch real estate agent who understands what kind of marketing works, what DC Ranch buyers are looking for, and how to connect with the right people to sell your home quickly.
#2. Clean your home from top to bottom
Before you can do anything else, it’s imperative that you clean your whole home from top to bottom. For most people, the best solution is to hire a professional cleaning crew. When you bring in professional cleaners, they’ll get everything – behind the refrigerator, the corners, the baseboards, and all the other spots – and all you have to do is maintain what they’ve done until your home sells. If you’re not hiring a professional, make sure you pay special attention to places that are immediately visible in each room; when you’re done with those, do things like the baseboards and inside all your cabinets and drawers.
#3. Make small rooms appear larger
Creating visual space can help sell your home quickly – buyers love to see it. You can use mirrors, lighting and staging to make small spaces appear larger. For example, putting a mirror on a wall across from a window increases light and creates visual space; so does removing furniture that’s too large (or that isn’t necessary for a room to be functional).

#4. Give every room a purpose
If you have a multi-use room, or one that’s mainly a catch-all, rethink the space. Turn it (temporarily, of course) into a home office, a workout room or a guest bedroom. Don’t let prospective buyers see it as a catch-all! Generally, buyers see catch-all rooms as a negative.
#5. Stage all the hotspots
Staging is incredibly important. In fact, staged homes sell much faster than those that aren’t staged – and they typically sell for more money, too. Your REALTOR might suggest that you hire a professional home stager, but if that’s not in your budget, that’s okay. There are plenty of things you can do to increase your home’s appeal so buyers can see themselves living there. Check out:

#6. Clear out your garage
Buyers want to see a garage with plenty of storage space – and they want it to be clean and organized, too. If you haven’t paid much attention to your garage, it’s important that you clear it out and make it as neat as you can so buyers can see themselves actually using it. You don’t have to deep-clean it (although you can), but you do have to make sure it’s not stuffed to overflowing and that there’s ample space for all your vehicles inside.

#7. Work on curb appeal
Buyers’ first impression of your home starts before they even walk through the front door. People start forming an impression, good or bad, when they pull up outside. That means you need to give them a great impression that lasts well into the tour – and you can do that by boosting your curb appeal. Talk to your agent about boosting your home’s curb appeal through things like repainting your front door, adding potted plants to your porch, and cleaning up the landscaping.
