Thinking about getting in some exercise before your Thanksgiving feast? There are 3 Turkey Trots near DC Ranch on the Thanksgiving morning – Thursday, November 27 – to give you a head-start on your calorie burn before dinner.
Each one of the 3 races has events for walkers, runners and kids too, so put your turkey in the oven and bring your family and guests out for a fun morning.
Turkey Trots are a popular way to burn off Thanksgiving Day calories
Join the 1k, 5k or 10k trot. There is also a 50-yard tot trot for the young ones. Bring 2 non-perishable food items for St. Vincent de Paul. Post race face painting, balloon artists, turkey hats and crafts. Costume prizes for individuals, family, couple or team. Finish the race and get a free photo with Tom Turkey.
2. Fountain Hills – Turkey Trot
Trot around Fountain Hills in a 1K fitness walk or the 5K Turkey Trot. Pre-register by November 22nd and get a commemorative t-shirt when you register. The event is followed by entertainment and the Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade (the only one in Arizona!)
Pre-registration is required for this 1K and 5K Trot for DC Ranch residents and guests. A light breakfast follows the Trot.
