The youngest residents of DC Ranch have some fun and even educational activities coming up in the next month. No matter what grade your children are in or which local Scottsdale school they attend, they’ll have something to do just minutes away from home when they attend the following events.
Winter Sisters Tea Time
Younger children in Scottsdale can head to the Doll House and Toy Store to have tea with the Winter Sisters on September 20. They will love learning all about how to act like a princess, get their face painted, and take their picture with the Winter Sisters. They’ll also get a cupcake and a drink when they attend this event for kids and adults.
You can choose from a few time slots on the 20th, including 9:00 am to 11:00 am, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. You’ll need tickets for all children and adults attending, and you can buy them here.
Tween Night
Kids in DC Ranch who are between ages 8 and 12 can challenge each other to a go-kart race on Tween Night. The event is set for October 2, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Though it will take place at Octane Raceway, transportation will be provided, so pickup and dropoff will be at Desert Camp Community Center in DC Ranch.
Tweens attending this event will need to wear closed-toed shoes to safely drive the go-karts. In addition, they should avoid wearing skirts or dresses. The event costs $20 per child, which covers the cost of go-kart racing and pizza. You’ll need to register online and then fill out a waiver for each child who plans to attend.
Scottsdale College Fair
For the high school students who live in and around DC Ranch, there’s the Scottsdale College Fair, which will be attended by representatives from multiple universities. Just a few of the schools participating in the event this year include Baylor, Sarah Lawrence College, Texas Christian University, Harvey Mudd College, Georgia Tech, Marquette, and Purdue.
Of course, representatives from local universities, such as Arizona State and the University of Arizona, will be there as well. You can find the full list of schools attending the event this year here. The fair will take place at Saguaro High School on September 26, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. It’s free for students and parents to attend.
